Learn the spills and trills of trapezing and spinnakers in kites and wires at Poolbeg Yacht and Boat Club. This course will teach you the basics of using both asymmetric and symmetric spinnakers across a range of our high performance boats(Laser II, 420/470, Ranger). This introduction to flying kites will be the most fun you’ve ever had on the water.

Hoisting and dropping techniques
Setting asymmetric and symmetric spinnakers
Trapezing with a harness
Trapezing with a kite up
Capsize recovery with a kite up / while trapezing
Prerequisites.
All participants must have completed Improving Skills prior to taking the course.
