Membership

Membership is open to all. The club does not discriminate on race, creed, colour, national origin, disability, marital status or sexual preference. Junior membership is available for children and young adults up to the age of 25. Full membership is available to those over 18.

We now have over 250 members, the majority of whom are active sailors. There is a strong development in junior membership, as is evident from the number of dinghies.

The Club is run by an Executive Committee (all are VOLUNTEERS) with enormous input and goodwill from members at all levels, whether to help clean up the pen at the end of the season, safety duty, bar duty, fund-raising, disco bouncer etc. The Club has 2 permanent employees and is run on a break-even basis. PYBC has hosted many local, regional and national events over the years.

PYBC consider the safety and welfare of the child and vulnerable adults to be paramount and has a full Child & Vulnerable Adult Protection Policy in place.
